Dog training isn't simply about training the dog, but ensuring the owner understands their dog and the things they do! We are dedicated to educating and teaching everyone about dog behavior and language to create an amazing bond with your furry companion!

Meet Angela

MEET ANGELA

I am the owner of Angie's Angels K9 Training. I have always had a passion for animals. I grew up with the typical cats and dogs, but I also had exotic pets. My professional career began at an exotic rescue zoo where I became a Zookeeper and Animal Ambassador. As my knowledge grew, I became the Lead Zookeeper for the zoo's educational facility at Kimball's Farm. After moving to Western Mass, I pursued my career as a dog trainer and joined one of the largest dog training franchises in the country. I quickly became the lead trainer for multiple locations in Massachusetts. I decided to start my own K9 training business so I could offer a more customized and personalized service.

TRAINING TECHNIQUES

Having worked with many different animal species, I have gained extensive experience, knowledge, and intuition regarding their ways of communicating and using body language to convey their attitude and intent. This allows me to interpret what they are saying and how they are feeling. After working with every age, size, and breed of canine, I have adopted a 3-point modification strategy for optimizing dog training success!

1. Relationship. Understanding your dog's personality and behaviors is essential to start training. You have done much of this through bonding over food, play, exercise, and of course love.

2. Leadership. Not to be confused with dominance, leadership is learning how to guide, motivate, and influence your dog using positive approaches to achieve your goal in all situations. Dogs thrive on structure and consistency. Being your dog's leader will not only improve communication but will strengthen their respect for you as well.

3. Communication This is the most sought-after goal and hardest to achieve. Proper communication with your dog to ensure their ability to listen and immediately obey is essential when your dog is off-leash, dealing with distratctions, or during an emergency situation.

5-WEEK LESSONS

Let's get started! We'll meet and spend an hour each week to teach your furry friend commands and provide you with training tips. Throughout the week, progress will be monitored via texts and calls. The success of this training program soley depends on you and working with your companion on a daily basis along with providing us with video updates of your progress. But don't worry, whenever you need guidance or support, we're just a message away. In the final lesson, we'll meet you and your dog at a fun, highly distracting place and put all the training together! Exciting, right?

2-WEEK BOARD & TRAIN

Get ready to see your companion become a superstar! Our two-week plan is designed to ensure your furry friend learns all the necessary commands required in dealing with high-distraction areas, walking with a loose leash, or being completely off-leash. We will provide you with instructional and informative videos so you can learn with your dog simultaneously. This will give you the knowledge and confidence to maintain your dog's skills and keep them fresh! On pickup day, we will have a fun-filled 2-3 hour sesision where we will go through everything. Get ready for a pawsome experience!

10-DAY BOOT CAMP

Get ready for some tail-wagging fun! Your dog will board with us Monday through Friday and receive top-notch training at our premises as well as in public places. Expect daily updates with instructions and fun videos. On weekends, you continue training and get to practice your new skills with your prized pet! Don't hesitate to reach out to us for help or guidance. On pickup day, we'll have a 30-45 minute pawty with you and your dog to ensure you're both ready to continue training like champs!
